The temple is open daily from 6:00 AM to 9:30 PM, with three main puja sessions: Morning Puja at 7:00 AM, Madhyanha Puja at 12:00 PM, and evening aarti at 7:00 PM. The evening aarti, accompanied by the sound of bells and the backdrop of the Arabian Sea, is the most attended and spiritually powerful time to visit.
The Evening Aarti — Don't Miss It
The evening aarti at Somnath is one of the most moving experiences a devotee can have. The priest performs the aarti while the waves crash against the temple walls, and the sea wind carries the sound of conches across the shore. Arriving 30 minutes early ensures a good position. - Dress modestly — cover shoulders and knees. Traditional attire is preferred.
